A 1.8 mile section of shared-use path (one way), with the 3.5 mile round trip is equivalent to a 3.9 mile flat walk or cycle. This section is very easy with respect to grade (about 2% involves short, easy grades), and complies with accessibility guidelines for grades for either shared use paths and trails.  There are 3 crossings - 2 with traffic signals (note that the Rt 100 crossing was recently simplified so only one signal is needed), and a connection added to the train station at Rt 30.

This is a busy, sunny trail, with benches along the way. There is a restroom, playground, picnic tables, ample parking, and easy trail access at Exton Park.  This is also the closest access for many Kennett residents.
