Goddard Park Trails
West Grove, PA
Easy paved and natural walking trails
An easy, out and back walking trail .5 to .7 miles long, and flat its entire length. The trail well-maintained stone dust for the first quarter mile, and then continues as flat natural trail to the old sluice gate overlooking the Red Clay. There is a picnic table located about halfway. It connects with the Auburn Valley and Yorklyn Bridge Trails.
This is a quiet, partially shaded trail, running alongside the Red Clay along the old Yorklyn-Kennett Trolley line and Mill Race for the old Snuff Mill. The Marshall Steam Car Museum can be seen on your right. The trail ends at the sluice gate and dam for the mill race
Bikes are permitted, and bikers might consider combining this with Auburn Valley, Yorklyn Bridge, and even the Oversee Farm Trail to create close to a 5 mile loop.
Park in the Paper Mill Parking Lot off of Benge Rd, and then cross over Benge Rd and continue straight until you see the Trolley Trail heading off to your right. Note that a parking fee applies unless you have a DE park pass. There are no restrooms or other facilities nearby.
